Boston Condo Offers 'Open-Concept Bathroom' Design

A newly renovated Boston condo is overing an extremely unique design.

Boston Trust Realty Group has listed a Jamaica Plain condo for $899,000, which includes several amenities such as appliances, all-white kitchen cabinets, newly installed hardwoods, a deck with a view and a first-floor main bathroom without walls separating the toilet from the bedroom, Boston Magazine reports.

Boston Trust Realty Group's description of the condo fails to mention the unique bathroom setup, but photos of the condo on the company's website show the first-floor toilet and shower unseparated from the bedroom.

"Located along the orange line corridor, this newly renovated condo features a new kitchen with Quartz countertops and stainless steel appliances, a master suite private rear deck and new electrical and hardwood floors throughout," the description stated. "Located close to your favorite JP hot spots, this bi-level condo provides convenient access to the JP Brewery, Southwest corridor, parks, tennis courts, Turtle Swamp Brewing, less than a 2 minute walk to Forest Hills and a short train ride to Assembly Row."

Boston Trust Realty Group listing agent Robert Nichols told Boston Magazine he couldn't believe the open-concept toilet design when he first saw it.

“I was like, ‘Man, was this designed for an exhibitionist?’ That literally was my first thought,” Nichols said. “But you know what? It could work if folks, you know, don’t mind having it open like that and just can live freely and enjoy it to its full potential.”
