FINNEAS pulled a major flex on Monday (March 8) when he casually tweeted out that Mike Shinoda was one of the many celebrities in his contact list.
But, along with that bit of info, he also revealed a pretty hilarious way the famed musician screwed up his phone permanently.
“I met Mike Shinoda once and he put his number in my phone but instead of making a new contact for 'Mike Shinoda', he somehow managed to change MY OWN name in my phone to Mike Shinoda irrevocably. absolutely nothing I try fixes it,” he tweeted.
If you look past the blasphemous tweets asking who Shinoda is(!!!), fans had some pretty epic — and hilarious — replies to the mishap.
“Fixing it requires: ten percent luck, twenty percent skill, fifteen percent concentrated power of will, five percent pleasure, fifty percent pain, and a hundred percent reason to remember the name,” one fan wrote.
Another fan had a solution we can definitely get behind: “The only way to break this curse is to collab on a song. I don’t make up the rules.”
While Shinoda didn't fess up to his prank, he did retweet FINNEAS basically confirming the tale is true. No word yet if FINNEAS managed to figure out how to get his name back in his phone after fans gave him some tips on how to fix it.
While we wait for that FINNEAS x Mike Shinoda collab, the 23-year-old recently teamed up with Ashe for the track "Till Forever Falls Apart." Last fall, the singer/producer also opened up about when he'll release his album.
