Tiger Woods Returns Home To Florida Following Rollover Crash

Tiger Woods has been released from the hospital and returned home to Florida after spending weeks in the hospital following a single-car accident in Los Angeles last month.

Tiger suffered severe injuries and had to be removed from the vehicle by first responders. He was rushed to the hospital, where he underwent hours of emergency surgery. Surgeons inserted a metal rod into his leg and used pins and screws to repair his fractured foot and ankle.

"Happy to report that I am back home and continuing my recovery," Tiger said in a statement shared on Twitter. "Thank you to the incredible surgeons, doctors, nurses, and staff at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. You have all taken such great care of me, and I cannot thank you enough. I will be recovering at home and working on getting stronger every day."

The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Investigators are reviewing the vehicle's black box to determine how fast Tiger was driving at the time of the accident. Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva said that Woods is not facing charges but added that the ultimate decision on whether to charge Woods will rest with the district attorney.
