TX Man Stabbed Restaurant Manager After Being Asked To Wear Mask

Police are searching for a man that allegedly stabbed a Texas restaurant manager after being told to wear a mask, reported CBS DFW.

According to League City Police, 53-year-old James Schulz entered a fast food restaurant without a mask on March 17th.

A worker asked him to either put a mask on or utilize the drive-thru line.

League City Police Chief Gary Ratliff said that Schulz "belligerently refused" and began accusing the staff of not wanting to serve him because he was homeless.

According to police, Schulz walked toward the door. When the restaurant manager turned his back, Schulz then ran up to him and tackled him. He then stabbed him multiple times in the arm and torso with a pocket knife.

The manager was taken to a local hospital with three stab wounds.

Police are still searching for Schulz and describe him as "a transient bearded, white male living in the area."

Police are asking people to respect mask policies of local businesses.

Ratliff said, "All I would ask is that people respect the opinions and policies of these businesses. You can refuse to do business at those locations, or whatever it is you choose yo do, but there's no reason to resort to aggressive behavior like this."
