The cast of Glee is set to reunite for a special reason—to honor their late co-star, Naya Rivera, and her character's lasting legacy on the LGBTQ+ and Latinx communities.
On Wednesday (March 24), Deadline reported numerous Glee stars will appear at the GLAAD Media Awards next month to pay tribute to Rivera. Demi Lovato, who played Santana Lopez's girlfriend in season 5 of the musical dramedy, will introduce the cast's tribute at the ceremony.
The reunion will include Chris Colfer, Darren Criss, Jane Lynch, Kevin McHale, Heather Morris, Matthew Morrison, Amber Riley, Harry Shum Jr., Jenna Ushkowitz, Vanessa Lengies, Jacob Artist, Alex Newell, and Becca Tobin.
Noticeably absent from the press release, however, was series star Lea Michele. Shortly before Rivera's passing, Michele faced multiple accusations of misconduct on the set of Glee from her co-stars, including from Morris—Rivera's close friend and on-screen love interest Morris.
Rivera tragically passed away last July in an accidental drowning. She was just 33-years-old.
