A strange occurrence happened in a Denver neighborhood over the weekend.

On Saturday, July 24, crews from the Denver Fire Department responded to a report of an explosion at a home at 260 Quitman Street.

According to a tweet from the fire department, no one was injured and the home was unoccupied at the time of the explosion.

"Damage to the home is extensive... & there is minimal damage to nearby homes," tweeted the fire department.

Photos of the home show just how extensive the damage was. The front wall of the house was blown completely off, leaving just the front door. The explosion also caused the roof to partially collapse.

According to 9NEWS, firefighters responded to the scene at around 8:40 A.M.

The cause of the explosion is still unknown. The department says fire investigators are looking into the incident to evaluate the cause.
