Megan Thee Stallion's sophomore album will mark a return to her roots.
For Essences' September/October global Black fashion issue, the Houston rapper turned cover girl shared new details about her upcoming LP, which has been cloaked in secrecy.
“I feel like [my new album] will be aggressive,” Meg shared. “I feel like this project is definitely something very well thought out. This project is me talking my sh*t, getting back comfortable with myself, getting back to the Megan that was on the come-up.”
The 26-year-old rapper's vow to return to her early days comes months after she revived her alter ego Tina Snow. "IM BACK HOTTIES🔥 ADDRESS ME AS MS SNOW ❄️," Meg captioned a 20-second animated video in June. "TINA SNOW IS BACK."
Megan, who released her debut album in November 2020, announced her Essence cover on Instagram Thursday (August 12).
"Tina Snow lookin real hot in luxury for the ultimate fashion spread 🤍🤍🤍," she wrote. "I'm on the cover of @essence for the coveted September/October global Black fashion issue 😛 I opened my soul to the hot girls at ESSENCE for my debut cover story. So check it out hotties hitting newsstands on August 24th."
