Whenever we watch a show on TV, we are instantly transported into their world. Some people explore life in a small town while others live it up in the big city, and we get to tag along for the ride.
Every state in the U.S. has been featured in a TV show throughout the years, and Insider set out to determine which was the most popular in each state.
"We looked at how many awards any given show has won or was nominated for using IMDb and Rotten Tomatoes, as well as its cultural impact in today's world to determine the most famous TV show in every state."
So what is the most popular TV show set in Tennessee?
Nashville
Nashville may be the home of country music, but it also makes for some great television. Given that Nashville follows the lives of country music stars, it's no surprise that the Music City-based show took the top spot. Here's what Insider had to say about the show:
"A fading country singer is forced to work with a much younger country star in order to revive her career. The series first aired on ABC and then moved to CMT after its fourth season. It was on CMT for seasons five and six. Connie Britton and Hayden Panettiere both received numerous award nominations for their roles as Rayna Jaymes and Juliette Barnes."
