One Twitter user tweeted at Fitzgerald Sr. last week saying, "I guess you don't have any news to tell Cardinals fans LOL."
That's when Fitzgerald Sr. replied, "You believe in miracles?" That messages was followed by a football emoji, a thumbs up emoji, and a clock emoji.
Later that day, Fitzgerald Sr. tweeted in response to another Twitter user who asked for an update about the Cardinals legend. The user wrote, "Maybe another one liner that we have to read between the lines on."
Fitzgerald Sr. replied, "I played golf with my son yesterday he beats me now. His length and accuracy kills my short game. He is enjoying life. Still in great condition mentally and physically."
