Do Oregonians Actually Like Pumpkin Spice?

Now that it's September, that means fall is around the corner. That also means pumpkin spice season is upon us!

Whether that's sipping on a seasonal latte or relaxing with scented candles, the pumpkin spice craze is an annual occurrence in the United States. Even restaurants, stores, and other brands sell their own version of their products with a pumpkin spice flavor, scent, or theme.

But, because it's such a trendy obsession, people outright avoid anything associated with the unique flavor. Your love or hate for pumpkin spice may depend on where you live, as well.

Instacart conducted a study on which states are more or less likely to purchase pumpkin spice products.

According to the research, if you live in Oregon, you're 19% less likely to get in on the season fall trend. Oregonians are not alone either -- it seems like most of the West aren't in the pumpkin spice spirit, either.

“This year, Instacart searches for ‘pumpkin spice’ surged earlier than ever before — starting in late July — which means many people already have fall on their mind and are looking forward to seasonal flavors,” Laurentia Romaniuk, Instacart’s Trends Expert, said.
