Since the new school year has started, there have been multiple incidents of cars driving recklessly on school grounds in Milwaukee, and this week another was caught on camera.
According to WISN, police are looking for a suspect involved in endangering the safety of students and faculty members on a Milwaukee school's sidewalks. On Monday (September 20) a reckless driver drove on the school's sidewalk doing laps around students and faculty outside the Bradley Tech High School.
The incident happened at South 4th and West Pierce Street around 3:45 p.m., just as students were released from school.
In a video sent in to WISN, you can see a silver Hyundai driving on the school's sidewalk in circles around a group of students. A faculty member can be heard on a megaphone telling the students to get away from the sidewalk while another blows their whistle to warn the students.
"Guys, you need to take it seriously. He popped a tire already. We need you guys to stay there. He hit this pretty hard," the faculty member says. Then a few seconds later, before the car is shown in the video, he yells into the megaphone, "Get off the sidewalk. Now!"
The vehicle's tires can be heard screeching and you can see students cling to a cement sign for safety as the car drives around them in circles.
Thankfully, no injuries were reported. Anyone with information on the driver is asked to contact the Milwaukee police at 414-935-7222.
