Utah saw its first snow of September on Wednesday morning, reported ABC 4. This marked the first snow of the season in Utah’s higher elevations.

A cold front pushed through the area bringing freezing temperatures and snow levels down to about 7,000 feet on Wednesday morning. Snow levels are expected continue to rise throughout the day until the afternoon. They will then start to dwindle.

There is still a chance that an isolated snow shower could linger over the UIntahs through Friday.

Summit County, Utah wrote on Twitter:

"Our Search and Rescue team found snow on Bald Mountain Pass last night!"
