A rare Taco Bell in San Francisco is no more according to a report from Hoodline.
Last week, a rare combination Taco Bell-KFC restaurant at Duboce and Guerrero said goodbye to its Taco Bell half and is now only serving products from KFC.
Hoodline was sent a photo of the sign on the door of the establishment that read:
"This restaurant will no longer be serving Taco Bell products as of September 16th, 2021. We will continue to serve our delicious finger lickin' good KFC chicken products. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you. Come in and buy a bucket of KFC chicken today!"
According to Yelp, the Duboce location initially started out as a standalone KFC in the '90s and only added the Taco Bell portion in 2005.
Many Taco Bell restaurants are combined with KFC as the fast-food chains are both owned by Yum Brands, which is also the parent company of Pizza Hut and Habit Burger, according to SFGate.
Despite losing this location, Hoodline and SFGate report that there are still four other hybrid Taco Bell-KFC restaurants left in the city; one at 4150 Geary Boulevard, 1150 Taraval Street, 691 Eddy Street, and 4285 Mission Street.
