Pride Month is halfway over and we almost can't wait for it to end only so we can have all of the new queer shows and movies that are scheduled to release later this month!
There's been an influx of hate against the LGBTQ+ community, especially trans youth, over the past year. The Human Rights Campaign even declared a "State of Emergency" for LGBTQ+ Americans earlier this month. As dedicated activist groups and organizations continue to fight for equality, we hope you're surrounded by people who love and support you, and if you're not, we eagerly await the day you find your community. They're out there waiting to love and support you and have riveting discussions about one of the pieces of media on this list, probably!
This month, streaming services are coming in clutch with some fascinating LGBTQ+ stories from the harrowing tale of a girls' soccer team surviving a plane crash on YellowJackets (Showtime), to the relatable chaos of self-discovery as a 20something on Glamorous (Netflix), to the history of transgender sex workers in New York's Meat Packing District with The Stroll (Max).
Here's everything queer and streaming in June 2023! Enjoy!
