We've watched plenty of prominent women in Hip-Hop transform into loving mothers over the years.
Some of rap's finest, like Cardi B, Nicki Minaj and Kash Doll, came into the rap game as independent women without children. Their loyal fans watched as their favorite artists started families while they were at the height of their careers, and witnessed their offspring grow in the spotlight. Other artists like Yung Miami and Sexyy Red already knew the joys of motherhood before they hit it big, however, they also garnered attention when their respective families grew in the public eye.
In recent months, we witnessed several popular artists become mothers for the first time. Flo Milli just welcomed her first child with her boyfriend G6reddot last month. The Alabama native didn't let her pregnancy get in the way of her career. In fact, she embraced it from the moment she announced she was expecting last year. She continued performing on stages across the country up until she was almost ready to pop, and even released a new song, "Gripper" with T-Pain, on the day she revealed her new baby boy. Other artists like DreamDoll, LightSkinKeisha, and Monaleo recently became mothers for the first time while Coi Leray is days away from welcoming her first child.
Hip-Hop's favorite crooners are also embracing motherhood. Ashanti recently welcomed her first child with Nelly shortly after the couple reunited. The "Baby" singer announced the birth of Kareem Kenkaide Haynes last August. Meanwhile, Rihanna is on her third child after she welcomed two boys, RZA and Riot, with her longtime boyfriend A$AP Rocky.
In honor of Mother's Day, iHeartRadio is highlighting 25 women in Hip-Hop who've embraced motherhood. Scroll below to see all these beautiful rap moms and their families.
