Shakira is reflecting on her chart-topping hit, "Hips Don't Lie," turning 20 this year!

The beloved Colombian-born sensation appeared on the Thursday (May 8) episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, revealing that the award-winning track, which she created in collaboration with rapper Wyclef Jean, almost didn't make it on 2005's Oral Fixation, Vol. 2.

"I remember my album was already distributed, and then this idea came up, and Wyclef and I met. We started working on this track. The funniest thing is that I had a dream — the most random dream about Wyclef."

After clearing up the contents of the dream, Shakira continued.

"Then I woke up, and my manager called me and said, 'You know what? Wyclef wants to work with you.' And I'm like, 'No, no. It can't be. I had a dream about Wyclef last night.' Why would I dream about Wyclef?"

The "Waka Waka" songstress felt so strongly about "Hips Don't Lie" being included in the album that she called the head of her record company and asked him to pull back all the records they had already distributed to be repackaged with the track.

"You've got to believe me. You've got to trust me. You do that, and we have a hit. And he said ok. He did it, we repackaged the albums, and yeah. It changed my story."

Shakira also assured she has "so many more surprises" for her upcoming tour, including appearances from Wyclef, Pitbull, and more! Her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour kicks off in Charlotte, North Carolina, on May 13!
