Kim Kardashian is defending her very "real" accomplishment of graduating law school.
The SKIMS founder penned a lengthy note on Instagram on Thursday (May 22) reflecting on her law school journey that finally came to an end of after six years. Sharing photos from her graduation ceremony, including snaps of her in a cap and gown, Kardashian looked back at pushing through the "doubt" on her way to fulfilling her dreams of becoming a lawyer.
"Six years ago, I embarked on an unconventional path to pursue my dream of becoming a lawyer. It wasn't easy, and it took longer than planned, but I never gave up. Each course brought moments of doubt, tears, and triumph — especially when I conquered subjects I initially feared," she said. "That's the beauty of life: you step into the unknown, push through, and emerge with knowledge and strength no one can take away."
Kardashian detailed how she registered for a "rigorous" four-year curriculum with the California State Bar that stretched to six years before she finally completed the program, adding that "the journey was real, and so is the accomplishment."
In addition to thanking her mentors their "invaluable" guidance as well as her friends and other supporters, she gave a shoutout to Chris Young, Michelle West and Dawn Jackson, who she and her team "championed" to have released from prison, so them speaking at her graduation "meant the world to me."
"Their deeply personal stories of perseverance through adversity and injustice profoundly inspires me and form the heart of my 'why,'" she said.
The Kardashians star concluded, "This experience has shaped me profoundly, and I'll carry its lessons with me forever. Here's to celebrating resilience and new beginnings!"
