Beyoncé and her team got the shock of their lives after someone stole troves of unreleased music, tour plans, and other sensitive information earlier this week. Fortunately, they might be able to recover some of the items after all.
On Tuesday, July 15, TMZ shared the 911 call the Atlanta Police Department received from Bey's choreographer Christopher Grant. Grant was calm and collected as he told the dispatcher that someone had broken into his car. His rented Jeep was parked in a garage not far from the restaurant he ate at on July 8. He told the dispatcher the thief made off with computers with trackers on them.
The caller said he was able to track the devices using Apple's "Find My" app. He declined to provide any names and only said that he works for someone of "high status." The dispatcher calmly told him that an officer was on the way over to the garage before the call ended.
According to WSB-TV, Grant and Diandre Blue, one of Bey's dancers, told the APD that thieves broke into their rental vehicle and stole numerous items, including jump drives with unreleased music, footage plans for her show, as well as past and future set lists. Clothes, designer sunglasses, laptops, and a pair of AirPods Max headphones were also stolen from the vehicle, according to police. Authorities were able to track the thieves using the tracker in the headphones.
Police were able to identify a suspect after they viewed surveillance cameras, which captured the crime. An arrest warrant has been issued; however, the suspect hasn't been publicly named, nor have charges been announced.
