Troy Ave jumped in to save his good friend from getting robbed by firing off a few gunshots, and it was all caught on camera.
On Tuesday, July 16, the rapper's boy Chef Geoff Cole shared surveillance video that shows the moment when someone attempted to rob him. In the clip, you can see Cole and the "New York City" rapper get out of the celebrity chef's black Bentley. The two were about to head inside Cole's house when a masked, armed robber crept up the alley, rammed Cole in the stomach, and attempted to steel a blue bag. That's when Troy Ave got active.
"S/o 2 my BROTHER Ave for Holding it Down in a situation where most woulda RAN or FOLDED 💪🏽 ‼️ I’ll never let the hate stop Me from showing LOVE!" Cole wrote on Instagram.
Troy Ave immediately pulled out his gun and fired two shots at the thief. The unidentified man struggled to prop up his weapon, dropped the bag, and fell to the floor before the clip ended. At least one of the shots hit the suspect, but his condition has not yet been confirmed. The attempted robbery happened last month at Cole's home in the San Diego area after he and Troy had just returned from celebrating the success of Cole's culinary event, Chef Fest. As of this report, police have not revealed any information about the suspect or pending charges.
Cole posted the clip hours after Troy Ave posted his music video for "Right Now." Watch the fresh visuals below.
