Pete Davidson is feeling a lot of guilt over bringing his girlfriend Elsie Hewitt into the spotlight amid her pregnancy journey.
During a recent appearance on The Breakfast Club podcast, the King of Staten Island star admitted he "[feels] bad for my girl because I bring a lot of s---," especially as they are getting ready to welcome their first child together, per Page Six. The couple, who have been linked since March of this year, are both private people and have kept that same energy when it comes to their romance. However, given Davidson's fame, there has been increased publicity about their relationship in recent months given they are preparing to become parents.
"Anything we do or she does now is gonna be a thing," he said of his influencer girlfriend, adding, "I feel really bad because... she's a very private person and she's the one going through it. She's the one doing all the work... It's supposed to be a beautiful experience."
Davidson noted that Hewitt has "never made me feel this way" or influenced his thoughts and feelings over the matter, it's simply what has been on his own mind.
"But I feel so guilty and horrible that in any way, shape or form... I could not allow her to have the ideal pregnancy that almost every woman gets to have and enjoy," he said. Fortunately, they have a supportive relationship with good communication to address his concerns. "Luckily, she loves me and knows what comes with me, and we've talked about it before we were fully in a relationship, but I really feel s----- for her in that aspect."
Hewitt announced in July that she is pregnant with her and Davidson's first child. The comedian is reportedly very "excited" about the new chapter in his life and has even explained that being a father has been one of his life's dreams.
Elsewhere in the interview, the Saturday Night Live alum revealed one of the tattoos he plans to keep amid his years-long journey of removing most of his ink.
