Offset's long-awaited third solo album has finally arrived.
On Friday, August 22, the Atlanta native released his anticipated project Kiari via Motown. Offset's new album features 18 new songs, including previously released singles "Bodies" featuring JID and "Professional." The former Migos rapper also recruited Gunna, YFN Lucci, YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Key Glock, Teezo Touchdown, and Ty Dolla $ign to appear on the project. The project concludes with songs like "Never Let Go" featuring John Legend, which is a tribute to his late cousin TakeOff, and "Move On," in which he reflects on breaking up with his estranged wife Cardi B.
After the album dropped, Offset shared the official music video for "Never Let Go." In the clip directed by Sheshe Pendleton and Mikey Rare, Legend plays the piano as he croons about losing a brother and gaining an angel. Offset delivers his touching verse dedicated to TakeOff, who was fatally shot in Houston in 2022.
"Legend on the NAWF, legend in the game/Playback all the memories, hopin' they don't fade," Offset raps. "Bando to the jet, jet to the stage/Hard to see my n***a in that grave, this s**t crazy."
Offset's new collaboration with Gunna "Different Species" sits at the top of iHeartRadio's Rap Rising playlist this week.
