R&B crooners Sol first got their start in 1996, when they started performing in and around Atlanta. They eventually starting landing gigs on tours, most notably with Michael Jackson, Faith Evans, and the Isley Brothers. They scored a record deal with Jive after floating around the scene for almost five years, and they paired themselves with producers like Somethin' for the People and Larry Campbell for their debut.
