Easily the greatest rock band ever -- at least according to members and actors Kyle Gass and Jack Black -- the Dio-loving acoustic metal/comedy duo Tenacious D is an unlikely success story. The sheer charisma, humor, and inspired songwriting of Black and Gass (aka JB, Jables, KG, and Kage, among other aliases) took them from L.A.'s underground comedy scene in the early '90s to their acclaimed series on HBO, a major-label album deal, and a feature film.
