Meghan Trainor's New "No Excuses" Video Enlists All-Star Dance Influencers

Last month (March 2018), Meghan Trainor released her brand new single "No Excuses," the first taste of her upcoming third studio album. The uplifting and empowering anthem is all about R-E-S-P-E-C-T, and that's exactly what the amazing young dancers in Meghan's new video for the song demand, and iHeartRadio has the exclusive premiere for you right here (above).

Meghan shared a new visual for "No Excuses," and it stars some familiar faces. The pop star rounded up 11 of the most talented young female dancers out there, ranging in age from just 9 years old to 17, to help create this new visual, directed by Tim Milgram.

In the new video, Aliyah Rose (9), Alysa Gutierez-Sierra (9), Nicole Laeno (12), Alena Garver (12), Tahani Anderson (14), Tati McQuay (14), Kaycee Rice (15), Charlize Glass (16), Autumn Miller (16), Natalie Bebko (16), and Lexee Smith (17) will make you want to dance when you watch all of the amazing choreography that they perform. You will recognize many of these ladies from viral dance videos you've, no doubt, seen.

Meghan’s Creative Director, Charm LaDonna says of the clip, "Meghan's new single is so fun and energetic and we felt that this group of young influencers would help spread this message of respect with the younger generation all over the world."  She adds, "This group of dancers was hand selected by me and Meghan. We've worked with a bunch of them over the years and it's been so fun to watch these strong, young women grow up."

"No Excuses" is the first single fans are hearing from Trainor's upcoming third studio album. During a recent interview with iHeartRadio, she said of the meaning behind the new song, "That's the only song in the album that's the sassy Meghan Trainor you're used to. You know, like the 'Lips Are Movin' girl. And it's about respect and how we should all respect each other, and love yourself, and there's no excuse not to choose happiness, and there's no excuse to treat me like that. You know, one of those songs. I think especially now, the world needs that, and everyone will relate to this."

Meghan also teased a little bit of what else fans can expect from the forthcoming LP, which follows 2016's Thank You. She explained, "It's about love, happiness, and everything I've been going through with Daryl, and with [vocal] surgery, but very universal so everyone can sing along and feel the same as I did. And it's fun. It's what we need right now. We need some upbeat jams."
