A 2020 One Direction Concert Listing Popped Up & Mysteriously Disappeared
July 23, 2018
Today, July 23rd, marks eight years of One Direction, and for the first time all year, the official 1D Twitter account celebrated by posting the band's lyrics along with the trending hashtag #8YearsOfOneDirection.
But, something else happened. A One Direction concert listing for a tour in Australia randomly popped up on Ticketmaster, but has since been removed from the site. According to fans on Twitter who captured screenshots of said listing, the concert was set for Eithad Stadium in Australia on December 31st, 2020, and the tour was called "One Direction: On The Road Again."
WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN?!
Directioners immediately began sharing theories about this mysterious disappearing future One Direction concert listing, other than the guys going on tour again. Some believe it's the day the band will get back together, with one fan writing, "THEORY What if this isn’t actually a tour date/start of a tour?? What if it’s the day the band comes back together?? It would make sense because even Liam said he’d put all his money on one direction getting back together after 2020???" Meanwhile, others from around the world expressed that they would definitely book their travel to Australia to see the guys if this turned out to be true.

It's been three years since the band decided to officially go their separate ways and pursue solo careers. In an interview earlier this year, One Direction's Liam Payne did hint at a possible reunion in the future and that the guys have had a discussion about it. He said:
"I think it will happen at some point in the distant future. We've all spoken about it... and you know, the dream is for this most fantastic show that could be, it's amazing!"
Hmm "most fantastic show that could be" ... what could be more fantastic than an epic reunion show on New Year's Eve in Australia??? What is interesting is 2020 would be 10 years of One Direction — a whole decade! And quite a milestone.
Until then, we will enjoy our favorite 1D lyrics and celebrate the guys' 8-year anniversary.
You and me got a whole lot of history, we could be the greatest team that the world has ever seen! #8YearsofOneDirection
