The 46th annual event airs live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on ABC next Tuesday (October 9). Tracee Ellis Ross will host for the second year in a row.
The former Fifth Harmony member will hit the AMAs stage solo to deliver another of her tracks from her self-titled debut album, rumored to be "Consequences." The 21-year-old is nominated for five categories at this year's ceremony, including Video of the Year ("Havana") and New Artist of the Year.
For the first time, Mendes and Zedd will perform a remixed version of the 20-year-old's funky serenade "Lost in Japan." The collaborators are both up for a handful of awards, including Collaboration of the Year for the Russian-German producer's radio smash "The Middle" and Favorite Artist and Social Artist for the singer-songwriter.
Taylor Swift will return to the show for the first time in three years, opening the night with "I Did Something Bad." She holds four AMAs nods, including Favorite Female Pop/Rock Artist and Favorite Album for Reputation.
