Rihanna got jokes.
Ever since the "Work" singer gave the official word that her long-awaited ninth studio album was coming down the pipeline in 2019, fans have been pressing the star for more details. Yet, the most constant question of them all — "Where's our album?" — remains unanswered.
Last night (December 29) was no different, as RiRi continued playing mind games on social media concerning the release date details for R9. In a clip posted to her Instagram Stories, Rihanna flashes a wad of cash while blowing kisses at the camera. "Where the album?" she mocks in the caption, to which she sarcastically responds, "Me: sorry my connection poor."
In other words, her lips are sealed.

It was confirmed over the summer that Ri would be giving us not one, but two albums: one fused with dancehall and reggae vibes, the other of the usual pop variety. According to Rolling Stone, the Anti artist had been pitched at least 500 tracks for her upcoming projects, on which she's enlisted the likes of Ricky Blaze, R. City, Skrillex, and dancehall vet Supa Dups to produce.
What's more, Alesso accidentally told iHeartRadio that Ri has been working with EDM stars Diplo, Martin Garrix, Calvin Harris and David Guetta for her next work as well.
