Cardi B Translates '90s Slang, Does The Macarena In New Reebox Ad

Cardi B was born in 1992, but the rap titan still knows her share of slang from the decade. In her new ad for Reebox, the 26-year-old is met with all kinds of '90s tests, including a breakdown of all the trendy verbiage from that era, and, surprisingly, passed with flying colors.
On Monday (February 25), the shoe giant released their almost-three-minute promo for their all-new Aztrek sneaker line called "Reebok Classic Presents: Cardi B vs. The '90s" and it sees Bardi decoding a number of phrases and words, including, "home skillet," "psyche," and the good ol' liner: "I'm all that and a bag of chips." "I'm all that and I'm more, like, I got boobs, ass, brain. All that and a bag of chips with a soda," she said when describing the latter. Elsewhere in the clip, Bardi must show off her dance moves to the 1993 smash "La Macarena."
Bardi's Reebox spot is yet another step in covering the ad world after her Pepsi commercial hit Super Bowl LIII. In late January, the soda giant unveiled their star-packed in-game commercial, which also featured Steve Carrell and Lil Jon. In the 60-second spot titled "More Than OK," a customer orders a Coke at a retro-styled diner and is interrupted by Carrell when the waiter asks if a Pepsi is a suitable replacement. "Is Pepsi okay?!" Carrell asks with confusion. To drive the message home, Lil Jon and Bardi appear in the commercial to offer their signature delivery of the word as the former's hit, "I Like It," plays in the background.
In addition to that, Bardi is also up for several iHeartRadio Music Awards this year, including the fan-voted Best Fan Army category presented by Taco Bell. Fans can vote via Twitter using the appropriate category and nominee hashtags, or by visiting iHeartRadio.com/awards through March 7th (March 13th for Best Fan Army). Find out who will be taking home an award this year by tuning into FOX on March 14th where the show will be broadcast live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles from 8-10 PM ET/PT.
