Rihanna's Fenty Label To Open First U.S. Pop-Up Shop In NYC This Month

Rihanna's Fenty Maison is coming to NYC.

On Tuesday (June 11), it was announced that the business mogul's newly launched fashion house will host its first U.S. pop-up shop in New York City this month. The 11-day event is scheduled to take place on the first two floors of The Webster in the SoHo District from June 19 to June 30. The pop-up shop will offer customers with a "distinct installation and retail experience," WWD reports.

"I am so proud and honored that Rihanna and her team choose to launch the new FENTY Release with The Webster Soho," Laure Heriard-Dubreuil, boutique founder/creative director of The Webster, said in a press release. "She has an incredible personality, style and is the true epitome of a powerful woman."

Rih Rih officially unveiled the first fashion designs of her very Fenty Maison on May 23, a day before the opening of the brand's first pop-up shop in Paris. "This is a moment in history," Rihanna told the crowd at the soft-opening of the pop-up, via Billboard. "It’s a big deal for me and my entire generation."

As fans know, Rihanna's Fenty label marks the first time a woman has created an original brand at LVMH (Moët Hennessy, Louis Vuitton— the world’s largest luxury group) and the first time a woman of color has been at the top of an LVMH Maison (house). Rihanna's line is also the first new house created by the group since Christian Lacroix in 1987.
