Ariana Grande got emotional while singing of her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller during her concert show in the late rapper's hometown of Pittsburgh.
There were, indeed, plenty tears cried during the singer's concert Wednesday night (June 12), as Grande took the stage to deliver a sentimental performance of "Thank U, Next," a track which features lyrics in Miller's memory. In a fan-shot video taken at the show, Grande sings the record's opening verses before succumbing to soft sobs as she reaches the lines, “Wish I could say thank you to Malcolm / 'Cause he was an angel.”
The 25-year-old could barely utter the lyrics, which certainly struck an even deeper chord with the star having delivered the in front of Miller's hometown fans.

As you know, Miller died in September 2018 from an accidental drug overdose, months after the lyricist and Sweetener songbird parted ways.
At the time, authorities told TMZ Miller was discovered around noon at his San Fernando Valley home and pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities were reportedly alerted by a male friend who called 911 from the star's residence. Miller died from an accidental overdose, with the toxicology report revealing that the death was a result of "mixed drug toxicity" from fentanyl and cocaine.
Grande wrote "Thank U, Next" as a tribute to her exes, including Miller, Big Sean, Pete Davidson, and Ricky Alvarez.
This isn't the first time the "7 Rings" musician has been struck with the memory of her former flame. She honored Miller during the kick-off show of her "Sweetener World Tour" back in March, commemorating him by playing some of the emcee's tracks.
