The Newport Folk Festival boasted an impressive lineup this year; however, concert goers were in for some surprises during the weekend as well. The Saturday headliner was billed as “♀♀♀♀: The Collaboration,” which turned out to be an all-female set curated by Brandi Carlile. It included her new supergroup with Maren Morris, Natalie Hemby, and Amanda Shires called The Highwomen, as well as Sheryl Crow, Lucy Dacus, Maggie Rogers, Candi Carpenter, Yola, Judy Collins, and the queen of country herself: Dolly Parton.

Parton joined the Highwomen for “Jolene,” “Just Because I’m a Woman,” and “Eagle When She Flies.” She also performed with Carlile on her song “I Will Always Love You” and was joined by all the women onstage for her iconic hit “9 to 5.”

Fans were quick to take video of the special moment. Check out footage below, as well as a special behind the scenes moment.

Could Parton be the next artist to collaborate with Lil Nas X on a remix of his megahit "Old Town Road"? Last week, the rapper asked the Twitterverse if it thought he could get the titan and Megan Thee Stallion on a new remix of the track, and Parton gave the most Parton response ever.
