Yungblud Covers Amy Winehouse In Live Lounge Medley: Watch
By Katrina Nattress
September 4, 2019
Yungblud recently visited BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge and gifted us with a cover medley we didn't know we needed. He stitched together bits of Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello's "Señorita," Amy Winehouse's "Back to Black," and Travis Scott's "Goosebumps," and not only somehow made them seem like one cohesive song, but made them sound like a song he wrote. While in the lounge, he also performed his latest single "Hope For The Underrated Youth."
"This song is about freedom of speech. This song is about freedom of expression. This song is about the forward-thinking, racism hating, LGBTQ+, liberal ‘sinners’ that we all are," he's previously said about the song. "I see that there is hope for this ‘Underrated Youth’ and I believe the future looks bright because we are in it.”
Watch Yungblud perform the covers medley and "Hope For The Underrated Youth" below.
Yungblud heads out on a North American tour next week. Check out a full list of dates below.
