Fresh off her breakup with Kaitlynn Carter, Miley Cyrus is back in the studio.

On Wednesday (October 2), Cyrus revealed she's working on more new music. “Back in the yo! I am so f—king inspired right now,” the “Malibu” musician tweeted alongside an image of her in the lab with her laptop, speakers, and recording equipment behind her.

By the looks of the snapshot, the 26-year-old means business, and we couldn’t be more excited to hear what the singer puts out next — perhaps another breakup ballad a la “Slide Away,” which arrived less than a week after it was revealed the pop star had separated from her husband of eight months, Liam Hemsworth, in August. Not long after, the Australian actor filed for divorce from Cyrus, who kindled a short-lived affair with Brody Jenner’s ex-wife that came to an end in late-September.

On the music front, however, the vocalist has been thriving. She stormed the stage at the 2019 iHeartRadio Music Festival last month, performing fan-favorite tunes like "Nothing Breaks Like A Heart" and "We Can't Stop."

September also marked the moment she'd joined forces with Ariana Grande and Lana Del Rey for their team-up “Don’t Call Me Angel,” which appears on the original motion picture soundtrack for the upcoming Charlie’s Angels film.

This all comes months after Cyrus released her latest project She Is Coming, an extended play which spawned tracks like “Cattitude,” “Mother’s Daughter” and “Dream.” The record also served as a teaser for what's to come from Cyrus’ seventh studio album, tentatively titled She Is Miley Cyrus, which reportedly features 18 tracks and is expected to drop sometime this year.
