Foo Fighters frontman and former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl recently made a cameo on HBO's Sesame Street to sing a song called "Here We Go" with Big Bird and Elmo.

Grohl, who once guest hosted Jimmy Kimmel Live!, was predictably great in his latest TV appearance, which was teased back in September.

Along with Sesame Street's two most iconic characters, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer talked about how fun it can be to travel around the country and make new friends.

"I was just thinking," Grohl tells the pair of Muppets in the clip, "There are friends everywhere, even ones you don't know. ...I just mean that there are lots of people all across America that we could be friends with — we just haven't met them yet."

With that, the trio begins singing "Here We Go," which encourages viewers to go on trips, try new foods and make new friends.

Grohl and his Foo Fighters band mates are taking a break from making new friends to work out "weird" (Grohl's word) material for their new album, which is expected to arrive in 2020.

Grohl's appearance also came just a couple of days before a 9-year-old drum prodigy went viral with a joyous cover of Nirvana's "In Bloom."
