Hayley Williams Returns To Instagram After 6 Months To Tease Solo Work

Update: Hayley Williams has posted a teaser clip on the site petalsforarmor.com and announced the released date of the single, January 22!

As promised, Paramore's Hayley Williams is delivering her first solo work in the new year and I am not calm!

On her 30th birthday this past December, the front-woman announced that she would be putting out new music in 2020. “I made something I'm going to call my own,” she wrote in a tweet. “It's a really special project and you'll get a taste of it in January.”

Well, January is here and she kept her promise! On Sunday (January 5), Williams used Instagram for the first time since announcing her social media break over six months ago.

She posted three consecutive black photos in a row with just a single period in the caption — which, put together, could mean an ellipsis meaning to stay tuned (yes, I will be refreshing her page for the foreseeable future and putting her notifications on). Many fans are thinking that the three black posts are being used as a way to separate the old Hayley from her new era. Only time will tell.

The “Hard Times” singer's solo endeavor comes about five months after she admitted, “I really don't know what's next for Paramore.”

Paramore last released an album, After Laughter, in 2017. Thankfully, she has reassured fans that she doesn't see her beloved band breaking up any time soon. “I’ve been in a band with them since I was 12; I don’t think the band is going anywhere. As long as we’re friends, the band just is. It’s just in us,” she said.

Williams started teasing new music back in June 2019 when she posted a muted video playing guitar with the caption: “and all the lonely,” which could be upcoming lyrics off her solo work.

Fingers crossed for something this week!
