While attending the NME Awards yesterday (February 12), YUNGBLUD gave fans some more details about the arrival of his sophomore album.
Speaking backstage at the awards show, Dom was asked if there was anything happening this year that he hasn't told anyone about. Thankfully, he wasted NO TIME giving fans exactly what they want.
“There’s a song coming imminently and an album coming in August. I haven’t really said that to anyone,” he divulged. “August the album!” So there you have it, we can expect YUNGBLUD's album to arrive in six months!
YUNGBLUD released his debut album, 21st Century Liability, in 2018 and followed it up with The Underrated Youth EP at the end of last year. He's previously explained that his new album is very-much inspired by his dedicated fanbase and stories he's been told by fans.
The “waiting on the weekend” singer won an NME award for Best Music Video for his song “original me” with Imagine Dragons' Dan Reynolds. “We got crushed by cars and it signifying that if f****** get crushed in life, you get back f****** up alright?” he told the crowd at the awards show.
The singer rocked a yellow plaid outfit as a nod to Cher from Clueless. And this isn't the first time he's defied gender norms. Dom has been outspoken about regularly wearing dresses and how it makes him feel.
While we don't have any more details about his album, we can at least look forward to his absolutely massive The Underrated Youth Tour this April. Check out the dates below.
