The “Truth Hurts” songbird proved as much by delivering a sexy cover of the former One Direction heartthrob’s swoon-worthy ballad “Adore You” for BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge, and it really doesn’t get much hotter than that.
Lizzo made the rendition completely her own, incorporating fun ad-libs with a touch of funk, and even gave the crooner himself a hot shoutout during the performance. “I’d walk through fire for you/ Just let me adore you/ Oh, Harry,” Lizzo sings in the chorus of her interpretation, which has received tons of praise from both of their respective fanbases.
“The fact that she sings ‘oh harry’ makes me jealous,” one user commented on the video. Another wrote: “Have you ever have that feeling?, I mean when you know that you need something but you don’t know what is it until you got it, anD THEN START SCREAMING BECAUSE ITS THE THING THAT YOU EVER NEEDED BUT YOU DIDN’T KNOW WHAT WAS IT?!?!!, WELL. THIS IS THE FKING FEELING, MATE.”
In case you didn’t know, the love Lizzo has for Styles is mutual. He covered the pop star’s upbeat bop “Juice” back in December at the same studio — and her reaction was priceless! "I just think she’s amazing; she’s one of the most exciting artists working now for sure,” the Fine Line musician said of Lizzo. “She’s exactly what you want an artist to be, which is themselves."
