YUNGBLUD is getting real with what he sees in the mirror's reflection.
The “Parents” singer was the most-recent guest to participate in the UK's Capital FM's “Reflections” series on YouTube and things got honest.
While YUNGBLUD has never been one to shy away from talking about difficult personal topics, the alt rocker opened up a bit more about his ADHD diagnosis and how it impacted him making friends when he was younger.
“I hated my ADHD, I hated that part about me,” he said. “I hated that people didn't like me because I was too energetic or I said too many things that they didn't want to hear.”
He goes on to say that since he found his fans, “I love my ADHD.”
“Maybe I figured out my mental health issues weren't a handicap, they were kind of a thing that brought me and you [the fans] together,” he explained. “The way I was born and the way I didn't like the things about myself might actually be the best thing that ever happened to me 'cause I got to find ya.”
YUNGBLUD is currently working on his followup to 2018's 21st Century Liability confirming that the album will be released in August — he'll also be heading out on tour too!
He's previously explained that his new album is very-much inspired by his dedicated fanbase and stories he's been told by fans.
Fans can also expect to catch him on an episode of the PUNK'D revival after he teased an episode with blink-182's Travis Barker as well as MGK.
