The 1975 are giving fans some joy during these unprecedented times by sharing "Jesus Christ 2005 God Bless America," the latest offering off their upcoming album Notes on a Conditional Form.
Though it's the first time we're hearing the song in its official recorded form, diehard fans are already familiar with the track — the band has been playing it live since last year.
After pushing the date back twice, Notes on a Conditional Form is now slated for a May 22 release. Listen to "Jesus Christ 2005 God Bless America" above.
Frontman Matty Healy revealed the second delay during a concert in Liverpool earlier this year. “I’ll be honest with you lot, Liverpool, I’ll tell you a secret, it’s gonna be a couple of weeks late, because I keep writing stuff,” he said.
“I’m never gonna put out a record I’m not happy with,” he added. “I’ve just finished it. So it will come out as soon as it’s physically made.”
As a result, the new album is 22 songs long! Pre-order Notes on a Conditional Form here.
