Just when you thought you couldn't miss your girls, your hair/nail salon, or pre-quarantine life any more than you already do, Ari Lennox dropped the music video for her latest single "Bussit."
The colorful visual is all about those good ol' days when we used to be allowed outside (not locked in the house) as it shows Ari and her girls getting glammed up and having fun, gearing up for a girls' night out, while in a trendy salon. Directed by Tajana B. William, the vibrant video, which exudes black girl magic, is the epitome of the Spring we deserved with its rich, plant-adorned setting and overall good vibe feel accentuated by Ari's lush and radiant voice.
As fans know, "BUSSIT" was featured on the Revenge of the Dreamers III: Director’s Cut deluxe album, which dropped in January and quickly become a fan-favorite.
This music video comes nearly two weeks after the release of Ari's Shea Butter Baby, Remix EP. For the three-track project, the R&B singer enlisted Doja Cat, Smino and Durand Bernarr, to help her remix three standout tracks —"BMO," "I Been," and "Facetime" — from her debut album.
