Rihanna is sick and tired of people asking about her next album. So tired in fact that she told her fans she lost the entire project... seriously.
On Wednesday (May 14), Rih had some time on her hands as she took to Instagram to reply to fans' comments about her long-awaited LP, reportedly titled R9. When a fan asked, "WHERES THE ALBUM," Rihanna hilariously replied, "I lost it," and added the shrug emoji.
Rih Rih didn't end her trolling there. When another fan commented, "DON'T DROP THAT ALBUM," she responded, "navy this who to blame right here look."
Back in March, Rih made her grand return to the music game, thanks to PARTYNEXTDOOR who featured Rih on his single "Believe It." The track marked Rih's first musical feature in nearly three years as the songstress turned business mogul has been focusing on her fashion and beauty industry take over.
As the Navy (Rihanna's fan base) is well aware, the track was a nice gift after years of waiting for more music from Rih. The 32-year-old singer's ninth studio album has been one of, if not the most highly-anticipated project... ever.
The last time Rih spoke out about her upcoming ninth studio album was in February, but, as we've come to expect, she didn't say much.
"Dot, dot, dot. To be continued," RiRi teased when asked if she had any R9 updates to share. "I like to antagonize my fans a little bit. Well, they antagonize me, too! So, they get it right back."
Rihanna's "antagonizing" of her fans by sharing little to no details about R9 has been an almost constant for nearly four years since the release of her last studio album Anti in 2016. Despite telling fans that the album would drop in 2019, the year came and went without a single track from Rih.
