2015 MTV Video Music Awards - Red Carpet

Back in April, Walk The Moon's Nicholas Petricca participated in a livestream benefit called Human to Human, and now the band's sharing (and making fun of) footage from his performance on Instagram.

On Friday (July 24), WTM shared a snippet of Petricca's solo set, where he mashed up Marc Cohn's 1991 hit "Walking In Memphis" with his own hit "Shut Up And Dance."

"Nicholas always trying to mash up Shut Up And Dance w Walkin In Memphis smh," the band captioned the clip before sending a more serious message. "@humantohuman.watch was an online event raising $ for @musicares, @sweetreliefmusiciansfund, and @plus1org covid relief fund. big love to everyone who participated ❤️⚡️⚡️"

Human to Human ended up raising over $55,000 during the event. See WTM's post below.

WTM has kept busy during quarantine, interacting with fans during livestreams and even working on a new album.

"rain or shine we are making you a new album. #WTM4" they captioned a video back in April. In the clip, a shaggy looking Petricca demonstrated how the band's been working together through Zoom. “We’re here in our virtual studio,Star Trek style," he said. "This is the future. Sorry COVID, we’re makin’ this album anyway."

Since the announcement, they've been sharing snippets from inside said virtual studio via Instagram and recently teased a new song.
