Julianne Hough Hits The Pool For 32nd Birthday Party With Ex Brooks Laich

Julianne Hough and Brooks Laich reunited with one another for the former’s 32nd birthday celebration.

For the intimate affair, which including her estranged husband and best friend Nina Dobrev, the crew came together for some pool time in honor of Hough’s 32nd birthday on Saturday (July 25). In an Instagram Story, Hough admitted that she felt "super loved" during the affair. Meanwhile, Dobrev filmed the poolside shenanigans for her Instagram followers, writing, 'Now that’s how you stick a landing."

Since their May breakup, the two have kept friendly with one another, with Laich even considering a reconciliation with the TV personality after their nearly-three year marriage. A source close to Entertainment Tonight recently revealed insight about their split, detailing Hough’s period of self discovery. "Julianne and Brooks truly were best friends, loved each other, and planned to spend their lives together despite their final decision to call it quits," an insider revealed in June. "This split has been difficult on both of them and right now they are doing everything they can to get back to some semblance of normal life without one another."

"Julianne seemed to be going through a period of self-discovery and change which isn’t what Brooks had planned for. He loved the life they had and wanted nothing more than to build a family together but Julianne wasn’t ready," the source continued.

Hough and Laich’s romance has remained a tabloid topic for months. Earlier this year, the stars were candid about their decision to quarantine separately. While the former remained in Los Angeles, the former hockey player took to his Idaho ranch to spend some time away. As per reports, it was Hough's own doing that prompted the couple to head their separate ways.
