Katy Perry has no plans on slowing down her career after becoming a new mom.

Weeks after giving birth to her and fiancé Orlando Bloom’s first child, daughter Daisy Dove Bloom, the “Dark Horse” singer is already looking forward to embarking on future projects, Us Weekly has learned.

“She wants to submerge herself into motherhood as much as she can, but she is also not putting her career on the back burner,” an insider told the outlet of the first-time mommy. “There are already discussions about upcoming projects and work. … Katy and Orlando do have help with the baby, but Katy insists on handling almost all of the baby needs.”

While the 43-year-old actor “does have plans to start traveling and working,” the source adds, Bloom — who also shares 9-year-old son Flynn with ex-wife Miranda Kerr — “also wants to enjoy this process” and “is very happy about fatherhood and being a new dad again.”

As fans know, Perry gave birth to the couple’s firstborn on August 26. The UNICEF Goodwill Ambassadors announced the news in a post with the charity, writing, “We are floating with love and wonder from the safe and healthy arrival of our daughter. … In celebration of the heart we know our daughter already has, we have set up a donation page to celebrate [Daisy Dove Bloom’s] arrival.”

Since giving birth, the 35-year-old musician has been showered with congratulations and gifts from fellow celebrities. Beyonce welcomed Perry to the Mommy Club with a stunning floral arrangement and her American Idol co-star Ryan Seacrest sent Baby Daisy a whole box of adorable toys to play with.

These new details about Perry's upcoming projects come weeks after the superstar delivered her sixth studio album, Smile, on August 28.

Welcome to the world, Daisy Dove Bloom! We are honoured to introduce Goodwill Ambassadors @KatyPerry and @OrlandoBloom’s new bundle of joy.⠀ ⠀ “We are floating with love and wonder from the safe and healthy arrival of our daughter,” Katy and Orlando told us.⠀ ⠀ “But we know we’re the lucky ones and not everyone can have a birthing experience as peaceful as ours was. Communities around the world are still experiencing a shortage of healthcare workers and every eleven seconds a pregnant woman or newborn dies, mostly from preventable causes. Since COVID-19 many more newborn lives are at risk because of the increased lack of access to water, soap, vaccines and medicines that prevent diseases. As parents to a newborn, this breaks our hearts, as we empathize with struggling parents now more than ever.⠀ ⠀ “As UNICEF Goodwill Ambassadors, we know UNICEF is there, on the ground, doing whatever it takes to make sure every expecting mother has access to a trained health worker and access to quality healthcare. In celebration of the heart we know our daughter already has, we have set up a donation page to celebrate DDB’s arrival. By supporting them, you are supporting a safe start to life and reimagining a healthier world for every child. We hope your ♥️ can bloom with generosity.⠀ ⠀ Gratefully-⠀ ⠀ Katy & Orlando.”⠀ ⠀ Please tap the link in our bio to support the most precious gift: a healthy child.
