A Miami man is planning on suing rapper Tory Lanez after a nightclub confrontation last year, according to NBC Miami.
Artist and club promoter Prince claims Lanez allegedly punched and attacked him inside LIV Nightclub in Miami Beach on November 9, 2019.
"He swung, he initially missed, he jumped over and then they just started trying to attack me," Prince told NBC Miami. "They backed me into a corner, and once I was there, they started stomping on me, jumping on me."
The Miami promoter said he knew Lanez "very well" and helped the rapper get into the club. Prince believes the issue came from an Instagram post about a song.
"They felt that I was insinuating that they stole the record from me, and I was just like, no, I would never do that, that was never my intention," he said. "I had no issue with him at all."
This lawsuit comes after rapper Megan Thee Stallion claimed Lanez shot her in the feet after a Los Angeles party in July. She came out with the allegation in August via an Instagram Live.
Marwan Porter, Prince's attorney, said this is a "chronic problem" with Lanez.
"Tory needs to be held accountable for his misconduct, for his bad behavior and bad habits," Porter said.
