Bomb scares are serious business. Most people understand that it's not the kind of thing to joke about, but there are also times when someone takes what is clearly a comment said in jest a little too seriously. That's what happened at a Wichita, Kansas Home Depot. A customer who was using the bathroom wound up calling the police, alerting them that someone in the restroom stated there was a bomb in the building.

Authorities arrived and located the suspect, but upon questioning him, they got a different side to the story. He explained that he was warning people to leave the bathroom by stating he was "fixing to blow it up." He added he didn't mean to worry anyone or cause a panic, and noted that others in the restroom laughed.

As if that wasn't funny enough, when the local news reported on the bomb scare, they had the most serious anchor deliver the story, and it made it all the more hysterical.

Home Depot did not wind up pressing charges against the man but hopefully he'll watch his words next time, or better yet, perhaps he'll use the bathroom at his home before he heads out to run his errands.
