In a rare series of social posts, Guns N' Roses frontman Axl Rose made an emotional appeal encouraging his American fans to vote in the U.S. Presidential Election today.

Rose fired off four lengthy posts late Monday evening, addressing the importance of participating in the civic process and listing what he believes is at stake in this election.

While the singer has often been critical of prominent republicans, he stopped short of endorsing a political party or a candidate. His final Tweet alluded to allegations of voter suppression in some districts.

"Vote knowing there are those hoping, praying n' counting [that you] won't, and would do virtually ANYTHING they thought they could get away with to stop you. VOTE," he wrote.

When he's not on tour, Rose has mostly used his Twitter account to express disdain for the Trump administration, once describing the president's White House as "the gold standard of what can be considered disgraceful."

Despite Rose's condemnations, the Trump campaign has often used Guns N' Roses music at campaign events, including blasting the band's cover of "Live and Let Die" during the president's tour of a mask facility this past spring at the early height of the COVID crisis.
