A man from Jacksonville, Florida got lucky again with the lottery.
Local 10 reported that 56-year-old Munib Garvanovic scored $5 million in a Florida Lottery scratch-off game this week. Three years ago, he won $1 million from another lottery game. What's more interesting is that Garvanovic won both tickets from the same Jacksonville gas station. The big bucks came from the 200X the Cash game.
"He chose to receive a one-time, lump-sum payment of $4,450,000. He won $1 million from the $5,000,000 Gold Rush Doubler game," reporters said. The gas station got a $10,000 bonus commission for selling the winning ticket.
The Sunshine State has seen a lot of lottery winners this year, especially in South Florida. One Miami woman won $2 million from a $10 scratch-off ticket she bought at Publix. Another Miami resident took home over $700,000 from a scratcher.
Broward County had a fair amount of lucky people. Three Pompano Beach residents took home some large lump-sums of money after hitting the jackpot between October and November. A Deerfield Beach man won a lottery game from a 7-Eleven scratcher.
