A runaway UPS delivery truck ran into several cars in Denver's Harvey Park neighborhood.

The incident happened on South Stuart Street earlier this month on December 2, according to CBS4.

The crash was caught on camera thanks to a neighbor's video door. Erika Gaum shared the video on her Facebook page soon after.

The video footage shows a UPS delivery truck rolling backward and slamming into several parked cars along the way.

The crash occurred around 2:30 P.M.

According to CBS4, a UPS representative reached out to the news site and said an investigation found that the electronic braking system on the truck had failed.

This cause the truck to fall downhill.

That’s it! 2020, I surrender 🏳️ @UPS you have really outdone yourselves. Silver lining? Our big rig saved our house & no one was hurt 🙏🏻 Matt Gaum

A Denver police officer involved in the incident report said the driver of the truck hopped off to make a delivery and attempted to start the truck again.

When that failed, the truck jumped out of gear, causing it to travel in reverse down the street.

According to CBS4, the company has contacted three of the four claimants and intends to provide them with rental cars and compensation for their damaged vehicles.

The UPS driver was cited by Denver Police for operating an unsafe vehicle.

No one was injured in the accident.
