FINNEAS has been on a music-releasing rampage lately, and he hasn't slowed down in 2021. After teasing a song called "American Cliché" for a February 5 release, the singer-songwriter decided to gift fans the track a day early.

Although this is the first time the song has officially been released, "American Cliché" might sound familiar to anyone who's seen him live: it's been a staple in FINNEAS' live set for quite some time now.

"I'm an American cliché / Missin' a girl in a French café," FINNEAS sings in the theatrical chorus. "I say, 'God d**n, you're beautiful' / You blush and duck out of frame."

"American Cliché" follows a string of 2020 singles from the Los Angeles native: "Where The Poison Is," "Can't Wait To Be Dead," "What They'll Say About Us" and his contribution to the holiday song canon, "Another Year."

Though all signs point to FINNEAS working on a new album, he recently revealed that he and his sister Billie Eilish don't want to release “a bummer COVID record.”

“I have a desperate desire not to release them during COVID-19,” he said back in September. “It’s the vaccine record! I want it to be the album everyone’s out dancing in the streets to.”

Until that day arrives, the siblings continue bringing us dreamy performances virtually, like they did during iHeartRadio's ALTer EGO last week.
